Description:

H07V-U, H07V-R, and H07V-K PVC Insulated Wires

These single-core PVC insulated wires are harmonized under European standards (HAR) and rated for 450/750V. While they share a common voltage rating and insulation material, their distinct conductor constructions define their specific uses.

Standards:

DIN VDE 0281-3, BS 6004, EN50525-2-314

Construction:

Conductor

Class 1 solid annealed copper conductor for H07Z-U;

Cass 2 stranded rigid annealed copper conductor for H07Z-R;

Class 5 stranded flexible annealed copper conductor for H07Z-K;

The conductors shall comply with the requirements given in IEC 60228.

Insulation

Special thermosetting low smoke zero halogen compound type EI5 acc. to EN 50363-5

Color of insulation: Green/yellow, blue, black, brown or as customer required.

Characteristics:

Rated voltages U0/U: 300/500V.

NoteU0 Rated power-frequency voltage between conductor and earth or armour, metal sheath or screen for which the cable is suitable.

URated power-frequency voltage between phase conductors for which the cable is suitable.

Maximum conductor operating temperature: +70

Maximum short circuit conductor temperature: +160

Test voltage: 2500V

Application:

1. Due to its rigidity, H07V-U solid conductor cable is designed for fixed installations where the cable will not be moved or flexed after installation.

Internal Wiring: Embedded in plaster or concealed within walls.

Conduit Systems: Pulled through PVC or steel conduits in residential and commercial buildings.

Enclosed Channels: Laying in cable trunking or ducting.

2. H07V-R stranded conductor cable is perfect for installations that require a bit more flexibility than a solid core can offer, particularly in industrial or commercial settings.

Switchgear and Panel Wiring: Inside distribution boards and control panels where wires need to be routed around components.

Outdoor Conduits: In industrial environments where conduits may experience vibration.

Fixed Industrial Machinery: For internal wiring of machines where the cable is fixed but may need slight adjustment during maintenance.

3. H07V-K fine-wire stranded conductor cable is the preferred choice when installation conditions are tight or when the wire may be subject to movement.

Control Cabinets: For complex wiring inside automation panels where space is limited.

Protection Devices: Connection of circuit breakers, relays, and contactors in switchgear.

Frequent Bending: In situations where the wire must be bent repeatedly during installation or maintenance.

Street Lighting and Signs: Internal wiring in light poles and illuminated signs.

Choosing between H07V-U, H07V-R, and H07V-K depends entirely on your project’s mechanical requirements. If you need to push the wire into a terminal and leave it, choose U. If you are wiring a large distribution board, choose R. If you need to thread a wire through a complex path with many bends, choose K.
