Description:

0.6/1kV XLPE Insulated Power Cable

The 0.6/1kV XLPE Insulated Power Cable is a high-performance electrical cable designed for low-voltage power distribution in industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Rated for voltages up to 1,000 volts, this cable utilizes Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, which offers superior thermal and mechanical properties compared to standard PVC cables.

 

Construction:

Conductor: Made of plain annealed copper (or aluminum) stranded circular Class 2 conductors according to IEC 60228, ensuring excellent conductivity and flexibility.

Insulation: The core is insulated with XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene) , which provides high insulation resistance and allows for a higher current-carrying capacity.

Filling: The interstices are filled with suitable non-hygroscopic fillers to maintain the cable's circular shape.

Inner Sheath: An extruded inner sheath covers the cores for added mechanical stability.

Armoring (Optional): For applications requiring mechanical protection, the cable may include Galvanized Steel Wire Armor (SWA), making it suitable for direct burial.

Outer Sheath: A durable PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) outer sheath provides protection against chemical corrosion, moisture, and mechanical stress.

 

Key Characteristics:

The product is suitable for power transmission and distribution lines with rated power frequency voltage 0.6/1 kV.

 Rated voltages U0/U(Um): 0.6/1 (1.2)kV.

Note

U0: Rated power-frequency voltage between conductor and earth or armour, metal sheath or screen for which the cable is suitable.

U: Rated power-frequency voltage between phase conductors for which the cable is suitable.

Um: Maximum value of the highest system voltage between phase conductors for which the cable is suitable.

Test Voltage: 3.5kV 5min No Breakdown, according to IEC60502-1.

The ambient temperature for installation: 0.

Maximum conductor temperature in normal operation:90.

Max operating temperature of con. When cable short-circuited(5s maximum duration): 250.

Permissible minimum bending radius:

Single unarmoured cable: 20 x OD

Multi-core unarmoured cable: 15 x OD

Single armoured cable: 5 x OD

Multi-core armoured cable: 12 x OD

Note : OD=Overall Diameter of Cable
